Snoop Lion (nee Dogg) is Scrooge for Adidas Ad

Snoop Lion, the artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg, has reinvented himself as Ebenezer Scrooge for Adidas.

The rapper-turned-reggae singer is headlining Adidas’ 2012 holiday campaign, “A Cautionary Tale of Ebenezer Snoop.” Snoop Lion, or I guess now Ebenezer Snoop, narrates and stars in an animated short about finding the holiday spirit with the help of other random celebs like David Beckham and Stan Smith.

That’s not all though. At the end of the video Snoop prompts you to see how much of a Scrooge your are using the Adidas Ebenezer You Facebook app, which sees how much of a Scrooge you are and lets you un-Scrooge yourself by sending holiday messages to people on Facebook you’ve wronged by not responding to their Facebook posts or writing on their walls for their birthdays.

Snoop turned in his gangsta cred a while ago for the trappings of Madison Avenue. Between being Scrooge for Adidas, eating pistachios out of a pill bottle for Wonderful Pistachios, and dropping it like it’s hot for Hot Pockets, Snoop Lion has been a busy former rapper now reggae artist.
