What people wore to the Digiday Retail Summit

The Digiday Retail Summit is currently in full swing.

Retailers repping companies including Nordstrom, Zappos, Walgreens, Sephora, Home Depot and many more have joined us in Chicago to trade secrets and discuss challenges with the agencies and tech providers that support them.

This being a retail summit, plenty of attendees came out flexing some sartorial muscles of their own. There was no shortage of flair and statement pieces.

We stopped summit attendees who brought their A game to ask what inspired them. Here’s what a few brand, agency and media reps wore.

Juliana Lupinacci, manager of advertising solutions at eBay
Lupinacci wore a floral maxi dress from Loft, topped with a black blazer and paired with a patterned Elliott Lucca bag. “In this kind of conference setting, people get stuck dressing very business-like. To stand out, I like to go for fun prints, especially in the summer,” she told Digiday.

Anna McCarthy, vice president of account management at ChoiceStream
McCarthy paired a classic black dress with patterned heels from Vince Camuto. “Florals are the best way to spice up a little black dress,” she said.

Matthew Greitzer, co-founder and COO of Accordant Media
Greitzer showed off a pink button down with a tan Freeman’s Sporting Club blazer, putting a summery spin on a classic conference combo.

Elly Deutch, associate director of digital and social media at Garrett Popcorn
Deutch, who participated in the summit session “Using Storytelling to Capture Consumers,” went with a pop of color and a sturdy wedge heel. “Being comfortable gives me a better stage presence,” she said.

Jessica Malooley, account executive at Netmining
Malooley’s skirt and top combo, paired with bright pink heels, stood out in the crowd. She said she chose her Zara crop top and skirt combination because she loves “print-on-print, as well as vintage patterns. It was great to be able to mix the two together.”

Maria McDermott, senior director of client services at iCrossing
McDermott said her Missoni dress was a “bit of a splurge,” but she chose it for the summit in order to combat the 80-degree heat in Chicago. As for the air conditioning pumping in the hotel, that’s what the scarf is for.
