Finger lickin’ what? KFC is selling chicken-flavored nail polish

KFC is finally using its “finger lickin’ good” slogan in a literal way.

The brand’s Hong Kong restaurants teamed with agency Ogilvy & Mather to create an edible nail polish that tastes like KFC’s fried chicken batters. They come in Original and Hot and Spicy.

Nail polish is typically created using poisonous chemicals, but KFC says their version is made out of “natural ingredients.” It’s unclear if digesting the nail polish results in similar side effects as eating the chain’s chicken, like heart burn.

KFC said the purpose of the nail polish it drum up excitement around the country’s 60 outlets and “keeping the brand literally at their customers’ fingertips while savoring their delicious signature chicken.”

They even made this weird music video, which doesn’t quite yet count as viral at just 2,000 views:

KFC in Hong Kong has a tendency to pique the Internet’s interest with its bizarre marketing stunts and menu items. Last year, KFC made a Napoli Crispy Pizza Chicken, a chicken leg wrapped in pizza seasoning, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
