The Future of Mobile

Digiday will livestream the Digiday Mobile conference today on its homepage beginning at 10:00 a.m. The morning sessions include a rapid-fire presentation from Business Insider CEO Henry Blodget on “The Future of Mobile.” Blodget will then sit down for a Q&A with Digiday editor-in-chief Brian Morrissey on what he’s buying and what he’s selling when it comes to digital media in the mobile era.

The day’s other highlights include a Q&A with Kevin Delaney, the founding editor-in-chief of Quartz, Atlantic Media’s “mobile first” publication. Executives from a top mobile ad seller (Pandora) and mobile ad buyer (MediaVest) will discuss the gap publishers face between desktop and mobile ad revenue. BuzzFeed’s Jonathan Perelman will discuss the possibility of alternative mobile ad formats. The day wraps up with a discussion between Edelman Digital’s Tim Hayden and MediaWhiz’s Giles McGrath about future trends in mobile — and those that won’t pan out.
