Digiday welcomes Lucinda Southern as senior reporter, UK

We are delighted to welcome Lucinda Southern who joins the London Digiday team as senior reporter.

Lucinda began reporting on the media and communications industry in 2011 for 12ahead, the editorial arm of Knowledge Engineers, part-owned by Haymarket. During her time at 12ahead, a subscription-based marketing innovation publication, she covered emerging digital trends and how they affected the media and creative industries.

Alongside managing content output for 12ahead, she shaped innovation sessions for media owners including Condé Nast and Time Warner. Lucinda will be charged with helping build editorial coverage and brand awareness in the U.K. market.

Here’s what she has to say on joining:lucinda

I’m really excited to join the Digiday team. It has repeatedly shown that it has the insight to be among the first to recognize key market issues and emerging trends that are impacting modern-day businesses. Today’s media landscape is gaining in complexity, but the opportunities are there to be seized. Digiday has made a strong mark in the U.S. and I look forward to building this presence in the U.K.

You can contact her at lucinda@digiday.com and follow her on Twitter @lucy28southern.

Digiday is also extending its events business in Europe. We have to date run two successful publishing summits in Barcelona and Monaco; a programmatic summit in Amsterdam, and a programmatic event in London.  The next Digiday Publishing Summit Europe will be held in Barcelona from October 5-7.
