Instagram is pushing more video with a revamped Explore page.
Today, the photo (and video!) sharing app is adding new video channels in the tab, including a cautiously titled “Videos You Might Like” channel that surfaces videos related to content users have liked in the past.
“Featured” is another channel Instagram is launching, revolving around events or topics with the first being this weekend’s Coachella festival. It’s easy to envision brands purchasing a “Featured” channel in the future to promote a slew of videos, à la branded pop-up channels on Snapchat Discover.
The Explore tab refresh up comes less than a month after Instagram increased the length of videos people could upload from 15 seconds to one minute.

Instagram first exhibited interest in curating video content in October during Halloween with a channel highlighting trending videos from the holiday. The channel was replicated several times over during the holidays before becoming permanent in January known as “Spotlight Compilations.”
The update rolls out today.
