AOL, Buzzfeed Take Home Digiday Publishing Awards

The Digiday Publishing Awards gala took place last night at The W Hotel in New York, honoring overall excellence and breakthrough achievement in digital publishing, branded content and advertising technology.

Awards were given in 17 categories, like “Best Advertising Innovation by a Publisher,” which AOL Premium Formats won for its “Smart Apps.” AOL also won the award for “Best Use of a iPad/Tablet by a Publisher” for its “Editions.”

“Best Use of Social Media by a Publisher” went to Cheezburger/ Digitas and Crispin  Porter + Bogusky for their work with Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. Buzzfeed won for Most “Distruptive Publishing Technology.” The Huffington Post was honored as the winner for “Best Editorial Achievement by a Publisher.”
