Beneful’s Puppy-Powered Viral Ad

Fact: You basically can’t go wrong with cute animals on the Internet. Fact: Everyone loves an elaborate Rube Goldberg machine. Combine the two, and you’ve got a video that’s tailor-made for viral success. That’s exactly what dog food brand Beneful did for its latest ad. Sometimes it pays to keep it simple. And this is one of those times.

The spot by Deep Focus, which features a video of a puppy-powered Rube Goldberg machine, is called “Dog Goldberg Machine,” naturally Beneful isn’t the first brand to try its hand at the Rube Goldberg machine trend – Red Bull made one a while ago, so did Honda – but it is the first brand to be powered by puppies. The video has 1.4 million views on YouTube so far. Watch the cuteness below.
