Register now: Discussion, networking and the Florida sun at the Digiday Agency Summit
It’s an exciting — and tumultuous and daunting — time to be working in advertising. Competition in the industry has historically been just between agencies. Those were simpler times: As brands bring more and more creative in house — and platforms taking a bigger piece of the pie — the landscape has a different, more contentious, feel.
The Digiday Agency Summit, taking place March 2-4 in Miami Beach, will bring together industry leaders from organizations like Starcom, Huge and iCrossing for three days of in-depth discussion and networking — and a little Florida sun. Speakers will tackle the biggest trends in the space through a series of candid discussions, breakout sessions and case studies.
Themes for the first day will include diversity, talent and culture. Adam Tucker, president of Ogilvy & Mather, will begin the summit with a look at how the landscape has changed since he started in the business. Then, Beth Rilee-Kelley, COO, The Martin Agency will talk a little bit about how to bring new talent into the fold through agency culture. Interpublic Group’s chief diversity officer Heide Gardner will reiterate the case for a diverse workforce and how it can be achieved.
The second day will be devoted to media and platforms. Amanda Richman, president, Starcom USA will educate attendees on how they can make social media platforms work for them. Noah Mallin, head of social media at MEC, will take the agency tack in the next session on how social can enhance a client’s brand. Margaret Johnson, executive creative director at Goodby Silverstein & Partners, will talk about how to use creativity to win new business.
The final day of the summit will be spent exploring the creative possibilities of one of the most talked-about technologies out there. Attendees will experience virtual reality for themselves and learn about its creative possibilities in a session with Resh Sidhu, creative director, Framestore VR Studio. Shannon Denton, CEO, Razorfish North America, will bring the summit to a close with a look at what lies ahead for the advertising industry.
